Beheerdersrechten worden op verzoek verleend aan elke ingelogde gebruiker. Beheerders (ook bekend als moderatoren,) kunnen veel technische acties uitvoeren, waaronder het blokkeren van gebruikers, het verwijderen van pagina's en het beschermen van pagina's. Een volledige lijst met rechten is hier te vinden. Dit is een van de zes standaard MediaWiki gebruikersgroepen. Zie mw:Help:User rights and groups.
