When creating an account, a Test Wiki user must choose a name to represent them. That name must:
- be representative of an individual (not imply shared use),
- not end with the -bot suffix (unless a Steward or Bureaucrat other than the bot operator chooses to approve a bot account for trial or operation),
- not contain the name of a user right,
- and not be offensive or profane.
- In addition, usernames may not be promotional, confusing (be nonsense or be similar to an already existing user), or misleading.
A Steward may grant exceptions to the first, third, and fifth requirements. A Bureaucrat or Steward may indefinitely block an account violating this policy.
Examples
Some examples of what would not be allowed:
- Name not representative of an individual: "Mary&Dan", "(company name) Team", and similar names.
- -bot suffix usernames: "(username)BOT" and similar names.
- "user right names": "Administrator", "Bureaucrat", "Steward", "Autopatrolled", etc.
- Offensive names: "FUCK TEST WIKI", "FUCK(name of person)", etc.
- Promotional, confusing, or misleading usernames: "(company name)hasasale", "(company name)", "hsiikallxno", "Justarandomämerican"
