==Translations into Chinese== | |||
Hi. I've been doing some translations lately and was wondering which variant of Chinese to translate to. Currently most pages are translated into regional dialects, such as zh-cn and zh-tw. What I think would be better is to translate only into zh-hans (simplified Chinese) and zh-hant (traditional Chinese) in order to reduce redundancy, as all Chinese dialects use one of the two character systems. Translations into Chinese
Hi. I've been doing some translations lately and was wondering which variant of Chinese to translate to. Currently most pages are translated into regional dialects, such as zh-cn and zh-tw. What I think would be better is to translate only into zh-hans (simplified Chinese) and zh-hant (traditional Chinese) in order to reduce redundancy, as all Chinese dialects use one of the two character systems. - Honestly, I think that we should only do the two main variants of Chinese (Traditional and Simplified). Regional dialects complicate things.. Justarandomamerican (talk) 18:40, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
