Technical news
- Extension:Report has been added, allowing users to privately report revisions of pages for the steward's or suppressor's attention (T99).
- Extension:UnusedRedirects has been added, which users can use to grab the list of redirects that aren't used (T105).
- Partial action blocks are now in effect on the Test Wiki. This means that administrators have the ability to restrict users from certain actions, including uploading files, moving pages and files, creating new pages, and sending thanks (T106).
Miscellaneous
- The name of the userRightsManager gadget has changed to UserRightsManager, so some users may have the gadget turned off. It may be necessary to re-enable it in the preferences.

- Extension:NewUserMessage has been added that will add a welcome message to the talk pages of newly created wiki accounts (T100).
- Extension:UserMerge has been added, which allows stewards to merge a user's account with another user's account (T88).
- As of now, Test Wiki uses hCaptcha instead of reCAPTCHA (T87).
- Extension:StopForumSpam has been added to prevent spam. (T111).

By the way, what is the purpose of providing links to other accounts (Miraheze, Wikimedia, etc.) on RfP? Do they have any impact on user trust? Do they prove user experience? - After a discussion at the community portal, stewards and system administrators are now required to undergo a reconfirmation vote at the community portal if the rights are removed due to inactivity. Previously, the rights could be restored at their request within an hour of removal.

Hello Justarandomamerican, I have gone ahead and added a new "steward action" tag for steward actions that should not be undone (Equivilent to CUblock on wikimedia) and wanted to let you know that it exists. - Hello, these were accounts that some of us manually blocked recently. I undid those blocks to give the users a chance, albeit they could be spambot accounts. But rest assured, as X said on Paflidy's talk page, if any future violations come from these users, our abuse filter bot will deal with them. :) Faithful (talk) 05:21, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
