Are you wanting this account to be renamed to Startus?

Hi Magogre,

Are you wanting this account to be renamed to Startus also?

Thanks,
Dmehus (talk) 17:12, 6 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Dmehus, wow! I actually logged in to request that. Yes, I'd like to change my username to Startus. Startus (talk) 13:28, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Startus, I figured as much. This has been  done, with the similar expectation as on Miraheze that this will be your final username change, at least as far as this user account is concerned. :) Dmehus (talk) 03:06, 17 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

I found your doppelganger (I think)!

I was searching through Wikipedia logs (I have nothing better to do) and I found https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Magog_the_Ogre. Is this you, or is this an uncanny coincidence? I am one (as you are three) 18:46, 9 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

I am One, hi. I am not Magog the Ogre there, I am User:Hulged there. Regards, Startus (talk) 13:30, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
That's quite an odd coincidence, then. I am one (as you are three) 14:46, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Removal of bureaucrat.

Hi, Magogre.

I saw your request and noticed that your bureaucrat had been re-assigned immediately. Unfortunately due to the inactivity policy & the fact that you had requested the rights to be given more than 1 hour after they were revoked, we can only assign Administrator.

You can however, request 'crat again and the rights will be given pronto.

Regards, Trayfel (talk) 09:56, 16 March 2022 (UTC).Reply

Trayfel Hello. That's true of Stewards and sysadmins, not bureaucrats. AlPaD (talk) 11:16, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@AlPaD: Indeed that seems to be the case, so I've re-added crat. PorkchopGMX (talk) 13:31, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
@AlPaD: & @PorkchopGMX: - My apologies, I had misinterpreted the page and such, made an honest mistake. My apologies once again. Trayfel (talk) 04:55, 17 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Trayfel No problem, @PorkchopGMX:thanks for your action. AlPaD (talk) 05:25, 17 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Grace period warning

Hello Startus, I hope this message finds you well! The purpose of this message is to notify you about a change to your rights happening in a day or few; a grace period will be added to your rights, making them temporary. This is because you have been inactive for almost three months. This grace period generally lasts one or two weeks. It typically serves as an extra notification sometime after this message was posted to bring back the user to activity before their rights expire at the end of the period, and it is a popular practice amongst Test Wiki administrators. The expiration of this grace period means your rights have expired to indicate you have been gone from Test Wiki for exactly three months, which is the maximum time limit an inactive contributor can have administrator and/or bureaucrat rights, as per the inactivity policy. To prevent a grace period addition from occurring to your rights, please respond to this message, by typing "No thanks. ~~~~", or by publishing a test edit on one of Test Wiki's test pages and reverting it quickly. Doing either of those two actions will prevent this change from occurring, and reset your imaginary three-month inactivity period timer nearing the day of the third month to zero days. However, if you come back to this message and the grace period is on your rights, do not hesitate to undo the action by changing the configuration of those rights from "Expires: 09:12, 9 January 2025" to "Does not expire" on Special:UserRights.
