Deputy stewards are trusted users appointed by stewards or the community (either method of appointment must have at least 2 support votes). Users with this permission have the following rights:
- Modify abuse filters with restricted actions (abusefilter-modify-restricted)
- View and create filters that use protected variables (abusefilter-access-protected-vars)
- View logs related to accessing protected variable values (abusefilter-protected-vars-log)
- Handle reports (handle-reports)
- View hidden abuse log entries (abusefilter-hidden-log)
- View private logs (suppressionlog)
- Add groups: Bureaucrats, Interface administrators, Administrators
- Remove groups: Bureaucrats, Interface administrators, Administrators
- Add and remove the suppressor right from their own account
- Add group to own account: Suppressors
- Remove group from own account: Suppressors
