Behind my names

If you search the endless expanse of the internet, you’ll probably come across me under one of three names: two fictional ones and one real one.

TheAstorPastor

This is my primary internet handle—TheAstorPastor, or just AP for short. You’ll find me using it on Discord, Wikimedia projects, Miraheze, and a bunch of other sites. The name has an amusing backstory: it’s a mix of “Astor,” a wealthy family name, and “Pastor,” meaning a priest. I put them together to reflect two opposing ideas—materialism and spiritualism.

Harvici

This was my go-to name online for a while, and I still use it in a few places, like the Phabricator for Test Wiki and some social media platforms.

Introduction

Hello!, I am TheAstorPastor, or TheAP, or you can simply refer to me as Astor. I am an administrator, bureaucrat, interwiki administrator, and interface administrator here on TestWiki. I mostly try to help this project by actively participating in discussions, creating and helping to write policies, making trivial grammatical changes all over the project, granting permissions, creating MediaWiki gadgets, and much more!

What I do

Not just active here but also on Wikimedia projects and Miraheze, where I go by the names "TheAstorPastor" or "Harvici." I can help you with mostly everything, like assigning rights, blocking and unblocking users, and possibly giving out bad advice. I primarily co-maintain two bots - Inactivity Bot and Justarandomamerican (BOT) with Justa. Please note that I don't have the account password to any of the bots, just the bot password.

Inactivity Bot

It automatically sends warnings to inactive users and removes Administrator and Bureaucrat from the inactive users as well as updates Activity/Reports.The bot runs through GitHub Actions at 00 UTC everyday automatically.

I am also a programmer and developer by passion, with expert knowledge in BASIC, Java, Python, PHP, HTML, and CSS and fair knowledge in JS and React. Still, I am a human, and I might make errors.
