			This right is automatically granted to stewards and system administrators, who can assign it to themselves. As of April 2025, non-steward suppressors (NSS) are no longer being appointed. The community reached a clear consensus to abolish the NSS role going forward. One existing NSS, [[User:X\|X]], retained suppression rights until promotion to steward later the same month. As of then, only stewards and system administrators have access to suppression.
