Ok, if you want the admin rights, request them, and also you cannot request Bureaucrat permissions until you have admin and you are trusted enough to have the right. – Preceding unsigned comment added by Zippybonzo (talkcontribs)

Test filter[edit]

Hi, your testing filter gives the message "Are you sure you want to make an edit? If so, click continue…" whenever I make an edit. Can you please make the filter less intrusive? Thanks, Hellk77 (talk) 20:01, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

The filter had a few syntax errors, such as using = instead of == to test for equality, and attempting to use | to pass multiple arguments to a condition. I've fixed the syntax errors, so that should stop happening. — Arcversin (talk) 20:14, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thank you. Hellk77 (talk) 22:30, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring[edit]

Please don’t continue to edit war on the community portal like you have done on For-Test Wiki. Thank you. X (talk) 16:18, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Noted, you don't need to vote for yourself/your proposals as the vote is already counted. @X Zippybonzo (talk) 17:46, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
I would note that multiple users have voted for themselves on past RfS’s. Like @Drummingman and @Justarandomamerican. X (talk) 18:29, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, yes, but the vote is automatically counted and it doesn't change anything. Zippybonzo (talk) 06:17, 29 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
While there are indeed no policies on Test Wiki preventing users from !voting for themselves, it's also unnecessary. By accepting a nomination, or self-nominating one's self, the act of !voting is unnecessary and, actually, doesn't really add anything. One could argue it makes it more difficult by adding unnecessary support icons. I do take issue with X's reverting Zippybonzo's strike. In fact, the only one I see as edit warring here is X, which, to be honest, is not a good look. Dmehus (talk) 15:32, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I can agree with that. By voting, I simply wanted to add my own opinions on why I should become a steward for other !voters to consider. It also appears to have been done several times in the past. X (talk) 15:36, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
The reason I reverted was because I didn’t feel there was a good reason given to strike, but you’re right, I should’ve come and talked to Zippy first. X (talk) 15:37, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Block review[edit]

Dear Zippybonzo, I have restored the access to your talk page, also a block review has been started on the community portal. You can give your opinion on the block below. Greetings, Drummingman (talk) 15:51, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I simply don’t believe my actions on one wiki should be carried over to an entirely unrelated wiki. The actions were unwise, but I did not violate the policies of that wiki. Zippybonzo (talk) 16:57, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Reply to @Justarandomamerican - whilst that is true, there is no reason the block from an entirely unrelated wiki should be carried over to this wiki. Zippybonzo (talk) 17:20, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

TPA restored[edit]

Hi, Zippybonzo. I've restored your talk page access. Feel free to reply to this section to appeal your ban. Justarandomamerican (talk) 18:10, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

The ban is not required as firstly, I don't think that actions on other wikis require blocks/bans everywhere, and secondly, the owner of said wiki was found to be abusing on their wiki and deceiving their own stewards. Hence why I believe my ban should be lifted. Zippybonzo (talk) 20:15, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Cross posting now. Justarandomamerican (talk) 20:16, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

You've been unblocked[edit]

Dear @Zippybonzo: I have just given up the block and ban. Welcome back. :-) Drummingman (talk) 19:51, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

I echo Drummingman's welcome. If you need any help, feel free to ask on my talk page. Piccadilly (My Contribs | Talk to me) 20:12, 22 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Welcome back, Zippybonzo. Sav • ( Edits | Talk ) 18:46, 23 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Welcome back, Zippybonzo. This was on my 'to-do list' to review the circumstances of the ban, so am glad to see it's already been lifted. Dmehus (talk) 00:48, 28 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Permissions removed[edit]

Hello, Zippybonzo. Because you have not made an edit nor a logged action within the last three months, your rights have been removed in accordance with the inactivity policy. This removal is entirely procedural and does not reflect your behavior at all. If you plan to be active again and use the tools, you can request them back any time at the permissions page. If you have any questions or believe I made a mistake, please let me know. Thanks. Jody (talk) 01:01, 24 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
