__EXPECTED_UNCONNECTED_PAGE__

{{Translator|ja-zh|eng - fr, de|spa , deu- ita, swe}} results in the following floating table: Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:ISO 639 name/ISO 639 name to code' not found.

Each unnamed parameter must follow this syntax; all spaces and blank ones will be removed, but not empty codes:

<langcode>,<langcode>,...,<langcode>-<langcode>,<langcode>,...,<langcode>.

ISO 639-1 codes will be converted to ISO 639-3 in categories and links. A list of ISO 639 codes can be found at en:ISO 639 and pages linked from there.

This template will also categorize any pages transclude it into corresponding categories. For example, Script error: No such module "Template link general". adds Translators eng-fra, Script error: No such module "Template link general". adds Translators eng-fra, Translators eng-deu, Translators ita-fra, Translators ita-deu and so on.

The plain parameter

[edit source]

For use in {{Babel}}, there is a |plain= parameter which will cause {{Translate}} to output a plain, simple userbox. For example, Script error: No such module "Template link general". outputs: Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:ISO 639 name/ISO 639 name to code' not found.

Category suppression

[edit source]

|skipcat= or |nocat= can be used to suppress all categories. If you only want to suppress categories associated to a specific userbox, use nocatindex or skipcatindex. Note that empty parameters also count: {{Translator||eng-fra|nocat1=1}} will still add Translators eng-fra.
