A barnstar for you!

Thank you for blocking 24.22.219.111 and later 209.58.142.158 after they started evading their block. A person somewhere (talk) 00:45, 22 December 2018 (UTC) |
- @A person somewhere: Popped my head out of STiki and Huggle for a moment to see this. Turns out that they made a user account, not a good move. Hope they enjoy their indefinite block :). As for their disruptive edits, I’m making an edit filter tomorrow which should be done and implemented tomorrow to stop their edits, (
redacted-A person somewhere). I’m going to make the filter (redacted-A person somewhere). Glad I could help, I’m keeping a close eye on new pages and deleting as required then blocking and auto blocking as necessary. Thanks for the kind word, I’ll keep working on it. Redactyll (Wanna taco bout it?) 05:59, 22 December 2018 (UTC)- Nice job (I remember you from Wikipedia btw), thanks. I would've helped out but I was in bed when the account was created; I will be watching the recent changes, however, now that there's actually some stuff happening over here. :-)--A person somewhere (talk) 13:42, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
- It's generally not a good idea to share details about anti-vandal private filters in a public location, especially for a persistent vandal such as this one, as they'll very likely find a way to work around the filter based on the information they find. Therefore, I've redacted the information you wrote about the filter's mechanics and RevDeled the revisions containing them so that the vandal doesn't get any ideas, but admins can still access the revisions. It may seem like a harsh action and if it does I apologize, but I believe it's for the best. :-) Let me know if you have any objections or more questions. Cheers and keep up the good work!--A person somewhere (talk) 13:53, 22 December 2018 (UTC)

- And now I've removed your admin permissions for being the one who made those edits to begin with. They go a little beyond what one expects of a "test" wiki. -- Void Whispers 16:29, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Void: May I ask why I am being accused of socks and abusive edits? I'm not going to whine with vigor, but I'd at least like to know a bit of the reasons for this accusation. Being in a library, people watch your every move, and vandalizing a wiki would probably warrant removal of library computer access. I'd just like to know why you feel that I did this, just wanting a quick explanation for how I ended up being the sock controller in your eyes. - One more question, why was a SPI not completed? Unlike a SPI, I had no public accusation of sockpuppetry, I was not given any measure of message and ping on my talk page, and unlike an investigation with the community being allowed to add input, as well as a chance for me to defend myself from the claim, as well as formal procedures being followed, I was just suddenly accused of sockpuppetry. I'd like to request that I am given a SPI for this, however, I am sorry for the inconvenience of this. I'm sorry for this request being so inconvenient, however, I'd just like to hear a bit of reasoning for this since I haven't been given any notification or talked to about this.
