I believe that inactive users rights should be removed 3 months after last edit/log action and not temporary expire 2 weeks because the user can come back in last 2 weeks. AlPaD (talk) 12:35, 25 May 2023 (UTC)

When a user's rights are changed, they are notified via email, (or at least I am). So by setting an expiry for 2 weeks, I am notifying them so they can come online and extend the length of their permissions. This is how I have done it on multiple wikis, and the outcome is the same. Again, the policy does not explicitly specify what to do with inactive users besides removing their rights after 3 months. It does not state that doing anything else is a violation of policy. It says nothing about grace periods beforehand or the like. You are reinstating a reversed administrative action to unilaterally reinstate indefinite adminship after X attempted to compromise, which is wheel warring. Like justa said above, the policy states nothing stating grace periods should not be used. Their rights were set to be removed on June 3rd anyway, which is the correct date of rights removal. This is wheel warring, as the policy does not explicitly state not to use grace periods and because it doesn't change the outcome of the time of removal. I have re-instated the grace period because your revert was wheel-warring and not supported by policy. X (talk) 17:11, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

We are the ones nitpicking!!! Or are you? I was minding my own business and setting grace periods like I have been doing here and on other wikis for months.
