Spam blocks

Hello there. While you may not be aware, users who trigger spam abuse filters and if the edits being caught are illegitimate may be indefinitely blocked upon sight. Have a nice day! Justarandomamerican (talk) 01:44, 19 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, I wasn't aware that it was required to be a indefinite block, I need to go and block other people who are abusing the abuse filter. Have a nice day --Pelksel (talk) 16:40, 19 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

It's not required per se, but it is a good community convention to follow. Justarandomamerican (talk) 22:34, 19 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

So it depends on how bad the offense is? --Pelksel (talk) 23:44, 19 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

It depends more on how obvious it is, but that is a factor if it's not obvious. Justarandomamerican (talk) 00:04, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

This also includes User:FredPoulson3331 who you determined was not spamming and lowered their block time, even though they were spamming. Naleksuh (talk) 18:22, 9 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
