User:Faithful/Test page policy

From Test Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

The test page policy outlines all of the criteria for what a test page should have before making it official and how to use them correctly by knowing its theme.

Criteria for community consensus[edit | edit source]

If the test page meets the following criteria, it will likely meet community consensus.

  • The theme of the test page should be regularly known and used. For example, if the theme was about deletion, the users know it is a very used tool around Test Wiki.
  • The page should have a high-quality title. Next, knowing that deletion is a highly-used tool, we can then title the page "Deletion test."
  • The theme and/or the title should not welcome any form of vandalism, because the Abuse filter test offers that opportunity for every user.

How to use test pages[edit | edit source]

To use a test page properly, read its title first, then its introduction. In the introduction of that test page, you will know what the page's theme is about. Knowing what the theme is of that page, you will use the correct tool on that page that matches its theme.
