:::::::::::Again, the policy does not explicitly specify what to do with inactive users besides removing their rights after 3 months. It does not state that doing anything else is a violation of policy. It says nothing about grace periods beforehand or the like. You are reinstating a reversed administrative action to unilaterally reinstate indefinite adminship after X attempted to compromise, which is wheel warring. Please seek consensus on the community portal. Justarandomamerican (talk) 16:24, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

:::::::::::Like justa said above, the policy states nothing stating grace periods should not be used. Their rights were set to be removed on June 3rd anyway, which is the correct date of rights removal. This is wheel warring, as the policy does not explicitly state not to use grace periods and because it doesn't change the outcome of the time of removal. I have re-instated the grace period because your revert was wheel-warring and not supported by policy. X (talk) 17:11, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

Remove all my rights

I don't expect to be hugely active here for the time being, so can you please remove every single one of my rights? I will re-request when I have more time. Thanks. Hellk77 (talk) 03:34, 19 October 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Admin rights removed

Hello, Euphoria. Because you have not made an edit nor a logged action within the last three months, your admin rights will be removed soon in accordance with the inactivity policy. This removal is entirely procedural and does not reflect your behavior at all. If you plan to be active again and use the admin tools, you can request them back any time here, on my talk page, or at Test Wiki:Request permissions. If you have any questions or believe I made a mistake, please let me know. Thanks, --X (talk) 17:42, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Reverted, 3 months after March 3rd (their last logged action) is June 3rd. Sav • ( Edits | Talk ) 12:08, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Re-instated but changed to 15 day grace period to line up with June 3rd. X (talk) 13:16, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Their rights are removed exactly after 3 months, not before with a grace period. If you are unsure, ask on the Community Portal. I'll keep it as is for now. Sav • ( Edits | Talk ) 20:41, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't really think the difference matters, unless it is/was duly discussed by the community and decided upon. This is a wiki, not a bureaucracy. Just my two cents. Justarandomamerican (talk) 21:07, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I believe that inactive users rights should be removed 3 months after last edit/log action and not temporary expire 2 weeks because the user can come back in last 2 weeks. AlPaD (talk) 12:35, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
When a user's rights are changed, they are notified via email, (or at least I am). So by setting an expiry for 2 weeks, I am notifying them so they can come online and extend the length of their permissions. This is how I have done it on multiple wikis, and the outcome is the same. X (talk) 12:37, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes, but if a user is an admin but not a bureaucrat (s)he can't be able to make him/hermselves a permanent admin again. AlPaD (talk) 17:46, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes, but it is quite simple for them to re-request it permanently. X (talk) 17:55, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't understand when they still haven't reached the limit that the policy says why they need to go through this process? AlPaD (talk) 19:15, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@X: & @Justarandomamerican: AlPaD is correct, we don't give a grace period so do not give one. The policy says 3 months and after 3 months, their rights will be removed. Do not revert. Sav • ( Edits | Talk ) 16:19, 27 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You are reinstating a reversed administrative action to unilaterally reinstate indefinite adminship after X attempted to compromise, which is wheel warring.
